How do I join?

You may join any time of the month or year. Call or stop by the Tri-Country YMCA for a membership packet anytime during YMCA hours. You are also encouraged to schedule a personal tour of the YMCA’s facilities by calling 812-367-2323.

What will my fees be?

Your YMCA is committed to keeping our membership fees reasonable, so that most people can afford to join. The fees will include full use of the facility. Specialized lessons may be an additional fee, but members may receive a discount on all programs. Non-members may participate in classes, but their program fees may be higher. 

What about people who can't afford to join?

No one is turned away from a YMCA for inability to pay. A confidential application form for those people who are financially strained will be provided to apply and if they qualify, may receive a percentage of their membership free.

Is my Tri-County YMCA membership accepted at YMCAs throughout the country?

Yes. This is the Y-AWAY program (Always Welcome At the YMCA). Your YMCA allows members from any YMCA to use our facilities anytime they visit.  Most YMCA’s welcome short term visitors but may have a small fee for extended stays. Your YMCA staff can assist you by calling any YMCA in the country regarding their policies.

What is the Strong Kids Campaign?

Primarily this is the one time each year where your YMCA takes the opportunity to organize committed volunteers to seek support from the community for your YMCA Program Development including our Scholarship Program. The scholarship program provides individuals and families in need with YMCA services and programs at reduced fees so everyone can have the opportunity to participate.
