Y Wee Care Child Development Center

The only licensed day care in Spencer County which provides daily preschool class, breakfast, 2 snacks, lunch, activities, and caring staff in a Christian environment.

Days of Operation: Monday through Friday
Hours of service: 6:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (CST)

In addition to these forms, Y Wee Care also needs a copy of the child's
birth certificate, immunization record, and registration fees
for each child enrolled.

Y Wee Care Wish List

The Tri-County YMCA is privileged to serve the child care needs for parents through the Y Wee Care Child Development Center programs. In our effort to maintain affordability and continue to serve those with financial needs we have created a wish list. If you or a friend has the ability to help please contact the YMCA Child Care Director at yweecare@tricountyymca.org or 812-367-2323. A FREE service offered to members with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years for use while working out for up to an hour and a half.

May 1 through September 9

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday – 8–11 a.m. and
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday– 5–8 p.m.

September 10 through April 30

Hours: Monday through Saturday – 8–11 a.m. and
Monday through Thursday – 5–8 p.m.

The Y Afterschool program focuses on providing a safe, educational, and fun experience to help build healthy Spirit, Mind, and Body. Children will receive homework help, organized crafts, and games while demonstrating our five character values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith.

Sample Schedule:

3:00 to 3:30 Character Development/Snack

3:30 to 4:15 Homework Help

4:15 to 4:45 Games/Crafts

4:45 to 5:15 Physical Activity

5:15 to 6:00 Free Time

Precious Blood

Open to all Greater Jasper K - 5th Graders

Program Dates: August 11th - May 25th - Monday through Friday
                         (excluding snow days and holidays)

Location: Precious Blood School

Time: After school to 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)

Daily: YMCA members: $9 — Program participants: $12
Weekly: YMCA members: $33 — Program participants: $47

Ferdinand Elementary/Tri-County YMCA

Open to all Southeast Dubois K - 5th Graders

Program Dates: August 16th - May 23rd - Monday through Friday
                         (excluding snow days and holidays)

Location: Students are provided a healthy snack at Ferdinand Elementary and then are transported by bus to the Y for homework help and games.

Time: After school to 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)

Daily: YMCA members: $9 — Program participants: $12
Weekly: YMCA members: $33 — Program participants: $47

Registration Fee: $25.00
